Vital Life Wellness Center is a premier wellness family practice clinic in the San Antonio area that practices functional medicine. VLWC has been open and operated since 2007. Our dedicated professionals find the root cause of the problem instead of masking the symptoms with medication.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

Completes eCW faxes (imports and routes to appropriate personal)

Send medical records upon request following HIPAA guidelines

Complete subpoenas/affidavits

Create and send medical records invoice and send to third parties requesting

Call and collect payment for medical records request

Review and complete medical records voicemail

Schedule established and new patients (following continuity of care)

Assist patients with requests

Promote VLWC ancillary services

Complete other clerical duties as assigned

Exercises problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling patient complaints; refer patient’s complaints to appropriate designated personnel as needed

Maintains operations by following policies and procedures of VLWC and reports any needed changes

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as need

Assist in the promotion of products and services provided by Vital Life Wellness Center Protect patients’ personal and financial information rights by maintaining confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with Clinic policies and HIPAA requirements

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

One year of previous medical records experience required

Must have the ability to exercise excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on the importance

Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision. Proven flexibility and willingness to handle a variety of tasks
