Senior Program Analyst - Naval

BMNT
Arlington, VA
  • Full-Time
Job Description

About the Role:

At BMNT, Senior Analysts play an integral role in the consultative process that forms the basis for everything we do for our customers. They drive various aspects and key decision points within the project lifecycle, including planning facilitated workshops and engaging key stakeholders. A significant portion of the Senior Analyst role is to oversee problem curation — a specialized tradecraft developed by BMNT to help our customers validate problems worth spending time, energy, and resources to solve — and how it fits into the broader system of innovation at BMNT. A high-performing Senior Analyst will therefore demonstrate expertise in everything we do at BMNT, and is able to effectively demonstrate and communicate BMNT's competitive advantage in order to build credibility and trust with our customers.

This specific role resides on the BMNT Naval Team. We are building a high-trust, high-performing team and are seeking a Senior Program Analyst to help deliver support for our U.S. Navy customers, primarily under the Office of Naval Research (ONR). ONR coordinates, executes, and promotes the science and technology programs of the United States Navy and Marine Corps, and this position is a perfect opportunity to have real impact.

Location: This is a hybrid position within commuting distance of our Arlington, VA office with the expectation of being in the office two to three days per week but sometimes more often based on customer needs.

What You Will Be Doing (Responsibilities):

  • Managing a backlog of tasks sourced from across the program teams, delegating tasks in a Scrummaster-like capacity to ensure timely completion;
  • Conducting independent research and developing project plans that reflect customer needs and the ability to enlist the help from other team members;
  • Establishing strong relationships with customers through developing a positive connection and trust with customers and demonstrates credibility to them;
  • Leading customer meetings and phone calls, including the ability to answer in-depth questions about BMNT methodologies;
  • Quickly understands the scope and root of a problem, synthesizes and analyzes data, and presents findings in a clear, succinct, and polished manner;
  • Leading elements of the customer relationship, including setting agendas and closing-out activities or action items;
  • Identifying secondary and tertiary problems and opportunities that BMNT could address for customers;
  • Independently resolving issues as they arise;
  • Providing guidance, motivation, support, and role modeling to fellow Analysts;
  • Executing problem curation to a high standard with no supervision;
  • Balancing deadlines with personal priorities;
  • Writing well, with very little correction needed from others;
  • Models the desired behaviors of a successful contributor at BMNT and embraces the BMNT Bushido.

What We Are Looking For (Qualifications):

  • Excitement for BMNT's mission!
  • A self-starter with an obsession for outcomes, not activities and history of achievements;
  • The ability to provide — in written or verbal form — valuable, succinct, and actionable insights from complicated information;
  • A self-starter with an obsession for outcomes, not activities;
  • Humility and a commitment to self-improvement and self-awareness, including proactively seeking and welcoming constructive feedback from colleagues;
  • Curiosity and an always-be-learning attitude, including recognizing when help is needed and seeking new ideas or perspectives to accomplish an objective;
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage and prioritize many concurrent tasks;
  • The patience and creativity to overcome barriers to success;
  • At least four to five years of relevant professional experience or two years as a BMNT Analyst;
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience;
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Active Secret clearance desired or eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance.

If you are a self-starter with an obsession for outcomes, not activities and a history of achievements, and enjoy working on projects with collaborative and creative teams, this could be the right role for you!

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
