Job description

Job Purpose:
To prepare and manage the submission of various IRS entity selection forms for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role involves producing IRS forms, communicating with clients to obtain signatures, and forwarding completed forms to the IRS.
Key Responsibilities:

Form Preparation:

  • Prepare required IRS entity forms for clients, including:
    • Form 8832 for LLCs
    • Form 2553 for S-Corps
    • Form 8822-B for selection of responsible party
    • Dissolution of S-Corp election letters
    • Other forms as necessary
  • Prepare and File US Personal and Business tax return extensions

Client Communication:

  • Send the appropriate forms to clients for signatures and arrange for the return of signed forms.
  • Explain forms to clients and provide necessary information.
  • Respond to all correspondence within 1 business day.
  • Call and/or correspond via email with clients to provide information, answer questions, and follow through on requests.

Form Submission:

  • Verify the correctness of signed forms received from clients.
  • Forward the verified forms to the IRS promptly.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work with members of various internal departments to ensure client needs are addressed.
  • Utilize the resources and knowledge of professionals in respective departments.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously improve form preparation and submission processes.
  • Implement best practices to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Document the receipt of signed client documents accurately.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Company management to support the overall objectives of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of G Suite, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to establish rapport with clients and build strong relationships in a friendly and confident manner.
  • Ability to prioritize work and complete duties accurately and timely.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional-level work experience.
  • Previous experience in a client service-oriented field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a tax firm is a plus.
  • Previous IRS form preparation experience is desired but not required.
  • Salesforce CRM experience is a plus.
