Job description

Tax Support Specialist

2 month contract role - on-site - $20.00/hr.

 

Job Summary

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to assembly, scanning, e-filing, workflow entry, reporting, and due date tracking. May also perform general administrative duties to support line of business as required. This position will focus on returns going out in paper format – so printing paper returns, assembling them, and packaging for delivery to external clients. 


Essential Duties

  • Print and assemble tax returns utilizing firm software tools and instructions in the workflow tool to ensure all required client deliverables are included in documents saved to document management system and for delivery to external clients.
  • Responsible for tax organizers, scanning of client workpapers, if applicable, tax return delivery, due date tracking, and new client setup, etc. and for meeting client expectations for timeliness, responsiveness, accuracy, and service quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or GED

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office Skills

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIC TO JOB

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks

EXPERIENCE

  • 1 to 3 years of related experience
