Job description

Are you analytical, precise, and fiercely self-reliant?
Do you notice the details others miss and hold yourself to an exceptionally high standard?
Are you a proactive, confident, and competitive self-starter who takes extreme ownership of their work?
Do you want control over your own destiny, the ability to truly make decisions and not just complete tasks?
If so, the Tax Associate role at Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLC may be the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Tax Associate, you'll work directly with firm partners and top-tier clients to lead sophisticated tax and business transactions-without the bureaucracy of larger firms. Your contributions will be front and center, and your voice will matter on every deal.
Tax Associate Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent high-profile for-profit and exempt organization clients in complex transactions.
  • Partner with the tax practice group on federal tax planning, significant transactions, & controversy matters.

  • Help build and grow a best-in-class tax law team.

The Ideal Tax Associate:
  • Fiercely competitive, self-directing, and self-starting.
  • Fast-paced multi-tasker who thrives in a busy, team-oriented environment.
  • Fearless and decisive, not hesitating to initiate contact with and pursue new prospects without referrals.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Although a few years' experience is preferred, we are open to recent graduates who have an undergraduate in business/accounting and/or have taken substantial tax related courses in law school.
  • Must be licensed or able to become licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio

At Buckingham, the Tax Associate will have direct access to firm partners & decision-makers, with an accelerated growth plan and opportunities for leadership.
If you are a competitive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines while embracing a new challenge every day, then the Tax Associate role is for you.
