Job description

Mid-Level Corporate Tax Associate Attorney โ€“ Multiple Offices

Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Tax Associate to join a highly respected Am Law firm in Nashville, Washington, D.C., Houston, or Dallas. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax associate to join a sophisticated national practice working on complex transactional tax matters with substantial client exposure and hands-on responsibility.

The ideal candidate will have 2โ€“5 years of strong tax experience, particularly involving renewable energy tax credits and/or corporate transactions and mergers and acquisitions involving private equity sponsors and portfolio companies. Candidates should possess strong technical tax knowledge, excellent drafting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively on sophisticated transactional matters.

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • 2โ€“5 years of tax experience in a law firm or comparable environment
  • Experience with renewable energy tax credits and/or transactional tax matters related to private equity and M&A
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and writing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Immediately transferable transactional tax experience
  • Admission to the Bar in the applicable jurisdiction or eligibility to waive in
