Job Description

Job Summary    

BMA is seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist to support OBP’s mission and to strengthen the linkage and integration between knowledge sharing and information systems. The Infrastructure Security Division (ISD), Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP) mission is to protect life and critical infrastructure by building capabilities within the public and across the private and public sectors to prevent, protect against, respond to, and mitigate bombing incidents. OBP manages a focused portfolio of activities to coordinate national and intergovernmental bombing prevention efforts; enhance C-IED capabilities though requirements and gap analysis; and increase Improvised Explosive Device (IED) awareness and information sharing among Federal, State, local, and private sector partners.

Clearance Requirements 

There is a Department of Homeland Security Secret clearance required for this position. 

Required Skills & Certifications    

BMA’s Knowledge Specialist is responsible for administering SharePoint Security and Permissions for all site content, developing new ways to capture, store, and share knowledge OBP, including creating databases or other digital tools to help OBP personnel find information quickly and easily and, as a minimum, has the following experience, expertise and qualifications:

  • 10+ years SharePoint Administrator/End User experience.

  • Administers SharePoint Security and Permissions for all site content and for140+ users.

  • Maintains backups, file size limitations and quotas and provides assistance with restoration.

  • Understands and incorporates new tools and functionality to meet business requirements.

  • Creates tutorials, spreadsheets, and other guides for office use.

  • Experience with Drupal.

  • Experience with designing icons, animations, banners and other various types of graphics for websites and SharePoint pages.

  • Experience with providing Web Content Administration and Web Development Support.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Applications, Microsoft Lists and Google Analytics.

  • As appropriate, all services can be combined within the 10+ years’ experience.

Desired Skills & Certifications    

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) or equivalent.

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS or JavaScript.
