Job Description

Title: Drafter/Designer

Location: Hunt Valley, MD

Job Description: We are seeking a talented Utility Designer to join our team. As a Utility Designer, you will be responsible for designing and planning utility systems including water, sewer, gas, and electric distribution networks. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop detailed designs that meet regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and project objectives.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct site visits and surveys to gather necessary data for utility design projects.

· Develop detailed utility designs using CAD software and other relevant tools.

· Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet technical specifications and project requirements.

· Collaborate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for utility projects.

· Prepare accurate cost estimates and material lists for proposed utility installations.

· Stay updated on industry standards, best practices, and technological advancements in utility design.

Requirements:

· Preferred Associates in CADD or equivalent experience

· Proven experience in utility design, specifically focused in Exelon companies.

· Proficiency in CAD software (MicroStation) and other design tools.

· Strong understanding of utility systems and infrastructure.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

· Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
