We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee and manage commercial and industrial electrical projects in Kansas City, KS, and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing projects ranging in size up to $2 million. Experience with HVAC or plumbing systems is considered a plus.

What sets this position apart?Project Managers receive commissions on gross profits for all the projects that they sell.This includes bidding and estimating.

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budget, and schedule.

Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.

Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality control.

Prepare and submit project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.

Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Foster positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, addressing concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the electrical contracting industry, with a focus on commercial and industrial projects.

Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, codes, and standards.

Proven ability to manage projects ranging in size up to $2 million.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

HVAC or plumbing experience is considered a plus.

PMP certification is a plus.
