Construction Inspector

We need 4 Construction Inspectors (CI) to support US Coast Guard in Alaska, locations are Kodiak, Veldez and Ketchikan, AK

The CIs will be responsible for:

1. Monitor quality of construction activities, provide assurance that construction contractors are providing quality control.
2. Inspect on-going construction, document problems, and recommend solutions, in professional manner.
3. Perform constructability reviews of project and contract documents.
4. Coordinate between fieldwork, affected organizations, and government.
5. Work with local USCG staff to explain and inform on construction activities

Qualifications:

High School Level Education (Must show name of school and year graduated)
At least 10 years total experience in Construction/Facility Management, Construction Supervision, Construction Management, or Quality Control. At least 5 years of construction oversight experience w/in the last 10 years on projects with a construction dollar value of approximately $500K-$5M (per project). (Must show position title held & description of responsibilities, construction project start/completion dates, construction dollar value of project, and description of project) 
Experience with Federal and/or State Agency design-build, or design-bid-build contracts. (Must show position title held, name of agency, and description of project)
At least 5 years construction experience performed in Alaska (Must show position title held, project
location, and description of project)
Experience as a construction superintendent, providing both supervision and QA/QC duties. Experience with facility and building systems (building envelope, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and structural, etc.) as well as managing all building trades, subcontracts and
construction safety.
Demonstrated hands-on experience in inspecting facilities and construction for compliance with contract requirements.

OR

4-year Architecture/Engineering Degree (Must show degree and year received, major, and name of school/college/ university degree received from)
At least 5 years total experience inspecting or managing multiple construction contracts.
At least 3 years of construction oversight experience w/in the last 7 years on projects with a construction dollar value of approximately $500K-$5M (per project). (Must show position title held & description of responsibilities, construction project start/completion dates, construction dollar value of project, and description of project)
Experience with Federal and/or State Agency design-build, or design-bid-build contracts. (Must show position title held, name of agency and description of project)
At least 3 years construction experience performed in Alaska (Must show position title held, project location, and description of project)
QA/QC inspector experience and knowledge of managing multi-trade construction projects.
