Salary: $30-37/hr

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our organization. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations, managing a team of accountants, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. You will play a crucial role in financial reporting, review client billing, serve as the point of contact for clients, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management:
    • Manage the overall financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
    • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and maintain proper documentation for auditing purposes.
    • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts for management and external stakeholders.
  2. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, including hiring, training, and performance management.
    • Delegate tasks, set priorities, and ensure deadlines are met.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, promoting professional growth and development within the team.
    • Provide guidance and support to resolve complex accounting issues and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  3. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
    • Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
    • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring all audit requirements are met.
    • Monitor and implement changes in accounting regulations and standards, and assess their impact on the organization's financial processes.
  4. Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor and analyze budget performance, providing insights and recommendations to management.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial projections and business plans to support strategic decision-making.
    • Identify areas for cost reduction, process improvement, and revenue enhancement.
  5. Process Improvement and System Enhancement:
    • Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Identify opportunities for automation and integration of financial systems and processes.
    • Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement financial software upgrades and enhancements.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
  • Proven work experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Drake, or other tax software is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong ethics and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding financial information.
