Job Description

Job Summary: PLEASE READ COMPLETELY:  

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk Agent  in one of Florida"s most desirable locations the quaint Lauderdale by the Sea . 

Responsibilities:

1. Greeting and welcoming guests: The front desk agent is usually the first point of contact for guests, so they should provide a warm and friendly welcome, assisting with check-in and making guests feel comfortable.

2. Check-in and check-out procedures: The agent is responsible for efficiently completing check-in and check-out procedures, verifying guest information, and processing payments accurately.

3. Room assignment and reservations: They handle room allocations according to guest preferences and hotel availability, ensuring that reservations are accurately recorded and communicated to other hotel departments.

4. Answering inquiries: Front desk agents must have good knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to promptly respond to guest inquiries and provide information or suggestions.

5. Handling guest requests: They handle guest requests for additional services such as room service, wake-up calls, and arranging transportation, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of services.

6. Dealing with complaints and problem resolution: Front desk agents should be skilled in handling guest complaints or issues, addressing them in a professional and courteous manner, and taking necessary steps to resolve problems to the guest's satisfaction.

7. Cash handling and reporting: Agents handle cash, credit card transactions, and check accuracy of guest bills. They also create daily reports, accurately accounting for all transactions and reconciling any discrepancies.

8. Collaborating with other hotel departments: Front desk agents work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operation and meet guest expectations.

9. Maintaining security protocols: Agents are responsible for monitoring hotel premises, ensuring the safety and security of guests and their belongings by following established security procedures.

10. Administrative tasks: They handle administrative duties such as organizing and maintaining guest records, updating guest preferences, and managing inventory of various items.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in a similar role,in the hospitality industry.

2. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

4. Proficient computer skills, including experience with industry-specific property management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

5. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

6. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, during shifts.

7. Availability to work different shifts, weekends, and holidays, as required.

8. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality is preferred.
