Position Purpose
The
Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst
position is a subject matter expert or supervisor level position responsible for designing, building, and testing application solutions. Systems Analyst supports the following functions: Patient Revenue Systems, Quality Assurance, and Change Management. This position works with end users, and or leads a team of systems analysts to gather application specifications; creates detailed design specifications; documents change requests; builds application solutions using development tools; documents and executes test cases, and debugs applications. This position has active involvement in release management, software configuration & change management, end-user training, and technical documentation associated with various applications, such as revenue cycle applications or corporate systems, in both company corporate offices and remote hospital facilities. Although this position performs all of the functions of an entry-level systems analyst, this role manages vendor relationships, supervises and develops employees, leads complex application development projects, and ensures regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities & Tasks

• This is a Remote Position
• Works with end users and/or leading a team of systems analysts to gather application specifications.
• Creates detailed design specifications.
• Builds application solutions using development tools.
• Documents and executes test cases.
• Debugs applications.
• Participates in release management, software configuration & change management.
• Conducts end-user training and technical documentation associated with various applications such as revenue cycle applications or corporate systems at corporate and hospitals.

Qualifications
License or Certification:

• Valid state driver's license
• Technical Certifications, such as MCAD (Microsoft Certified Application Developer) and MCPD (Microsoft Certified Professional Developer) are preferred

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate's degree recommended
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Expertise in:
  • Systems development life cycle for packaged applications
  • Business requirements definition and documentation
  • Common system and user acceptance testing procedures
  • Release management
  • Change management
  • End user training execution and documentation
• Expertise with regulatory compliance:
  • HIPAA
  • Medicare
  • CMS
  • Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Privacy and Security
  • Subject matter experts in one or more of the following revenue cycle applications:
  • PATCOM
  • CareMedic
  • Healthcare Systems (Medic)
  • UDS/MR
  • Home Health
• Prerequisite Health Care industry expertise in one or more of the following:
  • Medical billing
  • Health care provider revenue cycle
  • Clinical coding
  • Financial management
• Development of test plans or strategies, test cases or scripts, execution of scripts, and logging defects.
• Subject matter expertise and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
  • Standard Software Development Life Cycle approaches such as Waterfall, Iterative and Agile Application testing
  • Systems testing
  • Integration testing
  • User Acceptance testing
  • Performance testing
  • Data Validation
• Prerequisite functional knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
  • Experience with the following HP-Mercury Quality Assurance tools is preferred but not required. These are Mercury tools such as:
  • LoadRunner
  • Quick Test Pro
  • Quality Center (FKA Test Director)
  • WinRunner
  • SQL / PL /SQL and Transact SQL\
  • Standard testing methodologies (test cases, test plan, test scripts)
  • Web services
• Change Management Systems Analyst requirements:
  • Subject matter expert in one or more of the following areas:
  • Standard Software Development Life Cycle approaches such as Waterfall, Iterative and Agile Application Development
  • Knowledge of Software Configuration Management Process Theory as well as general usage and application
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, working experience with Oracle database and SQL Server.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Remedy change management functionality and processes
  • Experience with software source control systems is preferred but not required. These are tools such as:
  • PVCS on UNIX and windows platforms
  • HP/Mercury ITG
  • HP/Mercury Quality Center.
  • Visual Source Safe
• Prerequisite functional knowledge and ability to perform in one or more of the following activities or duties:
  • Work with quality assurance systems analysts, developers, architects and IT infrastructure administrators in support of new releases and projects.
  • Organize turnover modules, scripts and artifacts for deployment from Development to QA and Production environments.
  • Perform Pre-deployment Review, Analysis, Staging Preparation which includes checking all application environments and source control for consistency.
  • Develop related documentation including Functional specifications, Impact Analysis, Production Validation plan, Deployment instructions, and roll-back instructions.
