Hospitality IT Quotation Specialist

Reports to: Vice President - Sales

Location: Plano, TX

Position Description

Utilize extensive knowledge of hospitality technology to develop and implement technology solutions that meet our client's specific needs. Evaluate technical requirements, formulate detailed proposals and itemized lists of required hardware and software. This role also involves collaboration with external vendors and working closely with project managers to ensure the seamless execution of technology solutions from start to finish.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities

·         Solution Design: Analyze customer technical requirements to create comprehensive solutions. Design detailed solution proposals that accurately address customer needs.

·         Vendor Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact with third-party vendors and partners, ensuring the integration of external products or services into solution designs.

·         Quotation and Documentation: Generate accurate and detailed quotes, scope of work documents, and bills of materials for each project.

·         Project Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers to ensure the implementation plan is feasible, aligns with customer requirements, and is executed within set timelines and budgets.

·         Customer Engagement: Engage directly with customers to gather and clarify their technical requirements—present solutions in a manner that is accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

·         Proven track record as a Hospitality IT Specialist or in a similar technical role, with a strong foundation in providing solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.

·         Five years of experience in a technical role within the hospitality industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of the sector's unique challenges and opportunities.

·         In-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of implementing, maintaining, and upgrading hospitality IT systems, including property management systems (PMS), point of sale (POS) systems, and back-office systems. This expertise should encompass system integration, deployment, and optimization to enhance operational efficiency.

·         Comprehensive understanding of LAN/WAN networking principles and technologies, ensuring the seamless interconnectivity and reliability of IT infrastructures.

·         Familiarity with technology systems used within the hospitality industry, reflecting a broad comprehension of current trends and the capacity to apply this knowledge in a sales context.

·         Exceptional verbal communication and documentation skills, facilitating clear and concise interactions and creating comprehensive, accurate project documentation.

·         Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy in documentation and planning, ensuring thoroughness in proposals, scopes of work, and bills of materials.
