Position: Restaurant Line Cook- Full Time

Reports to: Executive Chef & Director of Food & Beverage

Job Purpose: Line level cook in restaurant outlet. Ensures consistent food preparation, maintain cooking utensils, equipment, and kitchen sanitation.

Job Summary: This position is an entry to mid-level, skilled, line cook in our restaurant outlet. Maintain a positive attitude and cooperative working environment, maximizing productivity and being highly engaged. This position is able to work all functions of kitchen in an operational role, and can adhere to recipes and exceptional food quality. Holds themselves accountable in regards to operational expectations; maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment.

Duties

  • Prepare all food items on the menu; ensuring consistency, quality and accuracy of recipes.
  • Execute proper sanitation and proper food handling and food storage procedures in accordance with health department guidelines.
  • Execute food preparation by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding vegetables and fruits; cleaning, cutting, and grinding meats, poultry, and seafood.
  • Prep, set up daily, and maintain kitchen workstations.
  • Complete pre-shift and post-shift duties as assigned
  • Maintain proper inventory controls and rotation to prevent waste or loss.
  • Plans food production in coordination with service hours so that quality, temperature and appearance of food are preserved.
  • Assist restaurant staff when necessary to provide optimum service to guests.
  • Works with steward department as needed.
  • Willingness to accept the most effective role.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of cooking experience.
  • Excellent kitchen knowledge and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong organization and active listening skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Maintains Servsafe certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • The ability to work on your feet for most of the day.
