Engineer II

Job Summary:

Basic Engineering Concepts & Technologies, Inc. (BecTech) is a Small Business Program Management and Engineering Services provider to Department of Defense (DoD) Agencies. BecTech is seeking professional candidates to fill the position of full-time Engineer II in Crystal City, VA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide systems engineering support for design, development, production, and in-service activities including system analysis, combat system integration, modeling and simulation, and participation in requirements development and maintenance.

• Provide technical inputs in Safety and Electromagnetic Environment Effects (E3) areas including reviewing and analyzing plans, schedules, tests, test results, and data packages. Assist in managing digital efforts such as DevSecOps and Agile development-related activities.

• Prepare technical documentation, senior-level briefings, and other reporting requirements. Participate in program and technical review meetings.

• Provide technical inputs to envisioned integration methodologies according to various ship classes, combat system capabilities, and available sensors. Review and comment on firing policies, interface changes, and operator workloads.

• Participate in integration studies, providing technical reviews and comments. Provide technical review and comments on simulation planning, proposals, and results.

Required Education/Experience:

• Requires minimum of 4 years of experience; More than 7 years of experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field is required; Master's degree in a technical field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work within a team.
• Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Possess good communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Able to obtain and retain a security clearance.

ADA SPECIFICATIONS:

• Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent period of prolonged sitting may be required.
• Ability to speak, read, hear, and write, with or without assistance.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Travel: Less than 5% expected
