Job Description: Plant Manager
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Plant Manager to oversee our facility's packaging and warehousing operations. The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring safety, reliability, efficiency, and productivity goals are achieved. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to the plant team, fostering a consistent culture of safety, reliability, collaboration, and accountability.
Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day plant operations, including production scheduling, staff oversight inventory management, quality control, and maintenance activities.
Performance Optimization: Implement strategies to optimize plant performance, improve productivity, reduce costs, and maximize efficiency.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the plant budget, monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and repairs to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and permits.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, streamline operations, and achieve operational excellence.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on plant performance, including key metrics, KPIs, and operational updates.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in plant management or related role, with a strong track record of operational leadership.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality standards.
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, driving performance and fostering a positive work culture.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred).
