As a Plant Leader I, you will ensure we meet Manufacturing's goal of delivering superior products of high quality and low cost while continuing commitment to the growth, development, and training of our People, in addition to achieving superior service.

What is the work?
Management:
- Implements and maintains Partner, team, and plant development strategies, not limited to establishing expectations, responsibilities, and accountabilities
- Coaches, trains, develops plant Partners (typically non-exempt and exempt Partners with direct reporting relationship)
- Uses appropriate resources to assess critical situations and leads team to appropriate action; provides periodic updates to Directors
- Leads efforts to ensure Plant(s) compliance with internal / external policies, procedures, guidelines, governance
- Creates communication strategy to share tactical / strategic plans and initiatives that have cross-functional impact across the Plant
- Creates a culture that elicits Partner support / commitment to Plant initiatives
- Periodically reviews performance exceptions and improvement to ensure alignment to strategic goals
- Conducts education and training needs assessments and gap analysis for all positions in the plant
- Maintains relationships with customers, suppliers, and resources
- Defines hiring criteria and authorizes staffing requisitions
- Routinely offers performance feedback; administers H-E-B Performance Management Appraisals as required
- Establishes / communicates staffing and performance standards
- Allocates resources to maintain the facility / equipment to standard
- Develops / promotes awareness for shrink control facility-wide
- Develops / promotes awareness of inventory control and management of day stock
- Tracks and analyzes store fill rate results and reallocates Plant resources if needed
Quality Assurance / Quality Control:
- Develops and maintains plant's Quality Manual and ensures compliance with the Corporate Food Quality and Safety Standard
- Ensures facility / equipment are maintained in a manner that aligns with the Bold Promise to produce freshest, safest products
- Ensures / promotes a strong commitment to the 6-S certification program
Financial Functions:
- Advises in capital planning and execution of capital projects
- Establishes operating budget; delivers results
- Develops, participates in, and champions Hoshin objectives
Safety:
- Commits to / promotes Protection Plan (VPP) certification
- Commits to / promotes the plant's safety, and ensures development of a culture of safety within the facility
What is your background?
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of industry-related experience
- High performance Work Team experience
- Experience / demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives within a department / plant
- Experience / proficiency operating internal and external software systems at an advanced level, not limited to creating spreadsheets, graphs / charts, and preparing presentations
