Finance Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer. Coordinates with agency fiduciary, and other financial staff and consultants to support the overall financial management of the organization. Key staff responsible for managing the day-to-day systems and tasks associated with accounts payable and receivable, budget development and monitoring.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Support the mission and work of Teen HYPE

· Plan, implement and oversee overall accounting strategy across multiple funding streams

· Responsible for accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, check runs, fixed asset inventory etc.

· Serve as day-to-day liaison with agency fiduciary

· Maintain the entity’s financial filing system.

· Monitor and analyze accounting data

· Regularly produce financial reports or statements

· Prepare and submit financial status reports to funders other than those managed by fiduciary partner

· Adhere to proper accounting methods, policies and principles

· Encourage other employees to adhere to standards

· Develop annual budget

· Attend Finance Committee meetings at the request of Board of Directors

· Recruit and hire new employees

· Manage all personnel transactions in partnership with contractual HR partner

· Obtain and maintain vendor W-9's

· Generate 1099's

· Scan, disburse and track invoices

· Reconcile vendor statements

· Act as liaison between insurance companies, corporate auditors, accounting services, IT consultants, landlords, and leasing companies.

· Prepare, issue, and track payments to include checks and electronic fund transfers (EFT)

· Assist with cash count, credit card receipts and other receipts as needed.

· Develops and maintains good working relationships with all departments, the management team and leadership.
