CAD Assistant

GeoEngineers is seeking a CAD Assistant to provide support to our CAD team with creating engineering report figures and construction drawings. This is a great opportunity for those who have a strong interest in Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences, or Technology, and looking to further their education and experience through mentorship from professional CAD Designers. You will be working on industry projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. This role is a temporary position with a duration of 90 days or less.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Under direct supervision of CAD staff, assists with:
  • Redlines
  • Processing basic CAD and engineering data sets to be used in drawings
  • Creating basic figures
  • Internal CAD standard initiatives such as detail library development, creating symbology, organizing layers in templates, etc.
• Collaborates with CAD staff to meet deadlines, adhere to budgets, and ensure deliverables are reviewed for quality assurance.
• Adheres to internal and industry CAD drawing production standards.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrollment or completion of a Technical or Associate Degree preferred.
• Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Basic proficiency with Windows OS and MS Office applications.
• Ability to follow written, verbal, and/or diagrammatic instructions.
• Professional-level verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

• Ability to perform consistent work on a PC with prolonged view of a monitor/screen.
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as needed.

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position is $20.43 - $27.50 per hour. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. GeoEngineers’ salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance. As part of our competitive total rewards package, employees in this role may also be eligible for our annual year-end bonus offering, subject to program eligibility requirements.
