Veterinary Technician Assistant

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Support veterinarians to ensure exceptional veterinary care; advocate for patients, and educate clients
- Assist doctors and technicians during patient treatments and procedures including x-rays, placing IV catheters, running bloodwork
- Basic animal husbandry and care
- Cleaning, laundry, and kennel maintenance
- Maintaining surgical suite and equipment before, during and after surgery
- Constantly advance your knowledge base and skill set
- Willingness to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills with clients and team members
- Proficient time management, ability to problem solve, learn, and handle multiple tasks
- Enthusiastic team player with a patient, and positive professional attitude.
- Motivated and driven to learn and grow skills and knowledgebase

Colorado Canine Orthopedics is a progressive, state-of-the-art, small animal, orthopedic hospital specializing in ACL repair, fractures, joint replacements, arthroscopy, and neurosurgery. Our practice includes 6 orthopedic surgeons, approximately 45 other team members and is the largest orthopedic surgical practice in this region of the country.
