Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Analyst to join our team. As a Cost Analyst, you will be responsible for performing cost analysis accounting functions in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding SAP/general technical literacy and will be driven to exceed customer & company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute month-end closing procedures with accuracy, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards for financial integrity, while also preparing financial statements and margin reports.
Identify and analyze cost drivers within manufacturing processes, including conducting detailed analysis of material, labor, and overhead costs.
Utilize SAP software for various functions, including performing standard versus actual cost analysis and generating reports.
Monitor inventory reserves and review inventory valuations to determine appropriate reserves.
Develop and manage annual budgets to support financial planning objectives, while also conducting pricing analysis and calculations to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure compliance with Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting
1-10 years experience OR combination of internships and education
Understanding of accounting within manufacturing, preferrably international/global company presence
Excellent technical literacy with SAP and MS Office
Full understanding of Routings and BOMs
Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial report interpretation
