Description:

RIB U.S. COST is seeking Construction Cost Estimators, with experience specializing in high value capital improvement programs in excesses of to $2 billion for aviation, transportation, healthcare, and federal sector projects to join our Alpharetta, GA team to provide conceptual through definitive estimates. RIB is a leader in providing project controls related services across all vertical markets within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will become part of team that is setting new standards in Project Delivery for industry in applying new methods and new technology to create innovative and value-added results to every step of the process. This position is hybrid: 2 days in Alpharetta office and 3 days remote.


Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prepare and/or coordinate the preparation of full estimates on large and complex projects as required by client's documents
  • Analyze and negotiate contractor change orders and claims on behalf of the client
  • Consult with clients, architects, subcontractors, and material suppliers to discuss and formulate estimates, effect cost reductions, and resolve issues.
  • Support the development of energy and sustainability analysis
  • Perform miscellaneous other job-related duties as assigned, which may include value engineering and progress review conferences
Requirements:
  • Ability to develop estimates at multiple phases from early design through to construction.
  • Knowledge of, and proficiency in discipline-related systems
  • Four-year degree in a related field
  • At least five (5) years of experience as a construction cost estimator is required
  • At least three (3) years experience with a contractor during the construction phase of a project is strongly desired.
  • Proficient with M365 OFFICE suite and collaboration tools
  • Proficient utilizing automated estimating tools including CostOS, On Screen Takeoff and Bluebeam
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism in the production of deliverables and in interactions with fellow employees and clients
  • Strong desire to learn or expand upon new methods and software.
