Cost Accountant
Location: Catoosa, OK | Pay: $62k+ annually | Schedule: Day Shift | Type: Direct Hire


Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to analyze, monitor, and control costs across various business activities. This role is critical for ensuring accurate cost data, supporting budget preparation, and improving cost efficiencies.


Duties and Responsibilities

The Cost Accountant will plan, study, and collect data to determine costs associated with raw material purchases, inventory, and labor. Responsibilities include analyzing and recording cost data to assess changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, and services provided to determine cost impacts.

The role involves performing cost audits, compiling cost data for budget preparation, and estimating costs for new and proposed products or services. The Cost Accountant will analyze actual manufacturing costs, prepare reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs, and recommend cost efficiencies in product layouts. Additional responsibilities include developing and installing a cost accounting system and appraising real property or equipment for sale, acquisition, or tax purposes. Reports will be provided to management, highlighting factors that affect pricing and profitability.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively assess and analyze cost data.
