About this Role
PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking a Cost Analyst to serve as a strategic link between project operations and regional finance. This role supports project managers and the regional controller by providing detailed cost tracking, performance analysis, and forecasting insights. The Cost Analyst will ensure accurate, timely reporting of project costs and production metrics, supporting decision-making across all stages of the project lifecycle.
What You'll Do
  • Partner with project managers to review cost reports, budgets, and forecasts, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze labor, equipment, subcontract, and material costs for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing earned value and production tracking reports; support monthly cost-to-complete and margin forecasts.
  • Review project invoices for accuracy, appropriate coding, and compliance with contract terms and cost controls.
  • Work closely with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate cost coding, accruals, and revenue recognition.
  • Assist in developing dashboards and reports to communicate project performance to regional leadership.
  • Support audits, month-end close, and management reporting cycles.
  • Continuously improve cost reporting tools and processes to enhance visibility and accuracy across projects.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cost analysis, project controls, or financial analysis, preferably in construction or utility contracting.
  • Strong understanding of earned value management (EVM) and project cost tracking principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP, EcoSys or equivalent).
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both field operations and finance teams.
  • Knowledge of construction industry metrics (labor productivity, unit cost, burn rates, etc.) preferred.
