Slitter Machine Operator

PROMAN Staffing is looking for an experienced Slitter Machine Operator. This position is a temp to hire based on performance, attendance and knowledge gained in training.

1st shift: 7:00am-7:00pm Monday-Thursday

3rd shift: 7:00pm-7:00am Monday-Thursday

Pay Rate: $16.00/hr
Location: Spartanburg, SC

Slitter Machine Operator Responsibilities:

• Set up, operation:
• Web paper through press, embosser, and sheeter.
• Install printing plates on print roller and place in press.
• Install, adjust, and clean doctor blade assembly.
• Setup of slitter knives located on sheeter.
• Checks and adjusts as required.
• Maintain printed product to required length, width, and print color.
• Transfers data to the daily production log, quality control documents or forms used in the production process.
• Follow the production schedule and other related documents necessary to produce and meet customer orders including those with instructions.
• Communicate line malfunctions in a timely manner to ensure production downtime is kept to a minimum.
• Other duties as assigned

Slitter Machine Operator Requirements:

• Able to work 12-hour shift.
• Slitter machine operator experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Manufacturing/Machine Operator: 1 year 
• Ability to lift 35lbs. or more consistently.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be willing and able to work on a 12-hour
• Basic math skills to complete the calculation and measurement of the product.
• Be able to perform length, gauge, and weight measurements
• Use of hand tools, such as wrenches, scrapers, screwdrivers, tape measures, micrometers, etc.
• Be able to visually inspect the product for defects.
• High School or GED. (Required)
