Mancan Staffing is looking for 1st shift Slitter Line Operators for a growing company in Strongsville!
Pay - $18.50/hr
1st Shift Hours- 7:30am - 4:00 pm
Monday-Friday
**MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A MEASUREMENT TEST!**
As a Slitter Operator, you play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, operating slitting machinery to precisely cut and process materials such as metal, paper, or plastic. Your responsibilities include setting up and adjusting the slitter, monitoring the production process, and ensuring the efficient and accurate conversion of raw materials into specified widths.
Machine Setup:
Configure and set up the slitting machine based on job specifications.
Adjust blades, guides, and other components to achieve the desired cut widths.
Material Loading:
Load raw materials, such as coils or rolls, onto the slitter for processing.
Ensure proper alignment and tension of materials to prevent issues during the slitting process.
Production Operation:
Operate the slitter to cut materials into specified widths and lengths.
Monitor machine operation to ensure consistent quality and adherence to production targets
Job Qualifications:
1 year of Slitter Operator experience
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must have organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Exceptional attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
Must possess good problem-solving skills.
Ability to interact in a professional manner with employees.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Basic computer knowledge.
Must know how to operate a press machine
