The location in Morristown, (Tennessee, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Slitter Operator - A, B, C, & D Shift Morristown, TN. This job is full-time permanent.

POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Position responsible for producing paper rolls and maintaining productivity from a variety of slitting machines (includes adjusting and making setups); Responsible for keeping equipment adjusted and maintained; Keeping equipment and area clean in the designated work area

  • Responsible for maintaining records to include quality records
  • Prepares orders based on appropriate import/export specifications; Enters data, tracks, gathers information, and generates standard reports
  • Assure accurate completion of mill roll requisitions; Must make sure that the correct raw materials are being used; Responsible for filling out the production report at the end of the job
  • Sets up and maintains equipment; Ensures that equipments runs in accordance with operational standards; Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance
  •  Ensure the correct raw materials are being processed; Fill out various production reports
  • Weight lifted:
  • Lower 0-25lbs
  • Moderate 26-100 lbs
  • High over 100 lbs
  • Weight repeatedly lifted per shift:
  • Occasional 0-25 times per shift
  • Moderate 26-100 times per shift
  • Repetitive 100-500 times per shift

 Work environment involves repetitive lifting in the lower range and occasional lifting in the higher range; Exposure to electrical hazards, dust, moving machinery, noise, and odors; Goggles and earplugs may be required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of related experience
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
  • Must have good speed and manual dexterity
  • Must be quality oriented
  • Ability to trouble shoot, adjust, and repair equipment
  • Good math ability to include reading instruments in metric, thousands, and 1/64" increments
  • Ability to work well as a team member
  •

  • May require certification to use work-area equipment
  • 2+ years of related experience
