Earn up to $75,000+ per Year - Maintenance Manager
Responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing the maintenance of properties, facilities, equipment and mechanical systems to support operational effectiveness.
Key Job Duties and Responsibilities
- monitor condition of property, facilities, tractor, trailer, and heavy equipment to identify maintenance needs,
- develop and implement schedule for regular maintenance and upkeep of our assets,
- develop, implement and monitor strategies for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and effectiveness,
- develop, implement and oversee the preventative maintenance process to ensure reliability and effectiveness,
- research and implement best practices for maintenance and repairs,
- apply knowledge of new technology and industry trends to improve maintenance processes,
- develop and implement a review/audit program for our assets,
- undertake corrective action resulting from system reviews/audits,
- assist in planning and monitoring of maintenance and capital improvement projects,
- schedule, assign tasks and duties to staff and oversee their work
- performance manage maintenance staff including evaluation, training and development, coaching and feedback,
- ensure maintenance team's compliance with all relevant regulations, policies and procedures,
- establish and maintain safe work procedures and practices,
- monitor and maintain established quality standards for all processes,
- provide input into preparation of annual maintenance budget and prepare budget requests,
- monitor costs and expenses to meet budget goals and ensure optimal cost effectiveness,
- coordinate and administer vendor contracts,
- coordinate and manage support from external service providers,
- oversee inventory of parts and materials in Dossier,
- provide regular reports on status of maintenance and repairs,
- ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and guidelines, and
- other duties/projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, Technical Degree or Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Business Management or pertinent field
- A minimum of five years' experience, implementing and managing maintentance facilities, programs, and budgets for a hauling company with a fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, and heavy equipment
- Experience in Waste Management hauling a plus
- Working with 1099 independent contractors a plus
- Proven track record in implementing maintenance best practices and processes,
- knowledge of DOT safety and environmental regulations
