Student Teller

CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union is actively recruiting for two Student Member Tellers from Alexandria City High School to operate in our Main Branch in Alexandria, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional experiences to our members by assisting them with various banking transactions while learning from our seasoned staff and leaders how to find solutions to meet the member's financial needs.

With a sense of urgency, we foster scalable and profitable growth in our communities, building and deepening member relationships with a diverse portfolio of products.

Position Summary

The Student Member Teller is the face of the credit union. They are responsible for consistently providing excellent member service by accurately completing a variety of paying and receiving functions; balance cash totals; engaging members in consultative referrals; and meeting assigned production goals. The Student Member Teller has extensive member contact.

Our branches are comprised of a Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, Member Service Representatives, and Member Consultants. Together they work towards making sure that our members feel valued. They engage and listen to our members to make sure they can offer the product and/or service that best meets the member’s needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional, and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate and efficient member transactions.
• A passion for a collaborative, energetic, and member-focused environment
• Processing member transactions on the Member Consultant line.
• Student Member Teller functions are performed efficiently, effectively, and accurately and in accordance with established policies, standards, and security procedures.
• Adhere to and uphold all written policies and procedures of the credit union, including BSA/CIP and OFAC monitoring and reporting, security operation and personnel policies.
• Cash totals are balanced according to established standards and discrepancies promptly resolved.

Education & Experiences

• Currently enrolled as a student at Alexandria City High School.
• Basic math and computation.
• Enrolled in Academy of Finance (AOF) at Alexandria City High School, preferred.

• PC skills (including Microsoft Office and banking platforms).
