Job Summary

Position: Union CDL A-Driver
Location: NY/MA/CT

Mazzotta Rentals, Inc. (MRI) is seeking a dependable and experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for safely transporting goods, materials, and equipment within our local area. This position requires adherence to all traffic laws and regulations, exceptional driving skills, as well as maintaining a high standard of customer service and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Haul equipment to and from customer worksites, providing timely delivery and pickup.
  • Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and tractor-trailer combinations, protecting your own safety and the safety of others.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including mileage, fuel, and any incidents or delays.
  • Follow all applicable traffic laws, regulations, and company policies, regarding transportation and safety.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients and addressing any inquiries or concerns.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean record.
  • Experience as a CDL driver, preferably in a local delivery or transportation role.
  • Knowledge of local routes, streets, and traffic patterns.
  • Ability to perform minor repairs on vehicles and equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Reaching, bending, squatting, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance standards.
  • High School diploma required.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of service or construction terminology and prior experience with similar commercial equipment.
