Hourly pay means they are compensated for the time they spend driving and sometimes for additional tasks like loading and unloading. Unlike salaried or per-mile drivers, hourly CDL drivers may have more predictable schedules and earnings. This role is common in local or regional delivery, waste management, and construction industries.
