Many companies provide training and support to help drivers navigate these hurdles and ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. Building good relationships with team members and staying organized can also make day-to-day responsibilities more manageable.

Hourly CDL drivers are commercial drivers who are paid by the hour to operate large vehicles such as trucks or buses that require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Their responsibilities often include transporting goods or passengers, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and adhering to safety and traffic regulations. Hourly pay means they are compensated for the time they spend driving and sometimes for additional tasks like loading and unloading. Unlike salaried or per-mile drivers, hourly CDL drivers may have more predictable schedules and earnings. This role is common in local or regional delivery, waste management, and construction industries.
