Job Title: Employee Relations Manager
Compensation: $125,000 - $140,000 annual salary with bonus potential
Location: Corporate Office - Arcadia, California - Hybrid - Mandatory 2-days in office per week

About the Role:
Develop and direct implementation of plans, policies, and programs affecting the organization's relations with organized employees and their representatives. Perform research on current and potential labor relations problems, opportunities, and issues while evaluating their impact. Accountable for advice and recommendations on labor agreements, as well as for coordination and support of labor relationships, while ensuring implementation of and compliance with contractual agreements. Advise HR managers and line management on how to handle specific labor relations problems.

Responsibilities:

Employee Relations Case Management
Investigate, and propose solutions for, very complex and/or contentious employee relations cases in liaison with line managers; coordinate the organization's response to legal cases brought by individuals; contribute to the preparation of legal submissions, and ensure all parties complete casework accurately and within deadlines.

Data Collection and Analysis
Use data from a wide range of sources to analyze key themes and identify possible impacts on the business.

Policies and Procedures Development
Develop, test, and maintain procedures and guidelines to support the organization in the implementation of, and compliance with, internal policies and/or external regulations.

Recommendations
Recommend changes to policies, processes, standards, and practices that would improve operational support.

Solutions Analysis
Analyze specific problems and issues to find the best solutions. Solutions could be technical or professional in nature.

Information and Business Advice
Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving queries and issues and referring very complex or contentious issues to others.

Stakeholder Engagement
Contribute to stakeholder engagement by identifying stakeholders; by finding out their needs, issues, and concerns; and by reacting to these needs, issues, and concerns, arranging meetings and events and drafting supporting materials to promote understanding and commitment.

Operational Compliance
Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards. Or identify, within the team, patterns of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and with relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, taking appropriate action to report and resolve these and escalating issues as appropriate.

Team Management
Manage a team so that team members are supported and enabled to deliver their roles according to expected standards. Includes leading in the areas of recruitment and performance management, coaching team members, and identifying development needs.

Personal Capability Building
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree required
  • 3-6 years of experience in managing Employee Relations
  • 6-12 months of Managerial experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
  • Must be able to work independently and/or as part of a team
  • High energy with a positive, servant leadership attitude
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Computer knowledge required (Google Suite)

Salary: $125,000 - $140,000 annual salary with bonus potential

Work Location: Hybrid. The Din Tai Fung USA Corporate Office is located in Arcadia, CA.
Mandatory 2-days in office per week.
