Job Overview:

The Heavy Construction Project Manager oversees and coordinates all aspects of heavy highway construction projects. They ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This role requires a strong background in construction management, civil engineering, and familiarity with relevant software tools.

Facility Located near Pasadena, TX

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for heavy highway construction projects.

Coordinate with stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution.

Monitor progress, resolve issues, and adjust plans as needed.

Roads/Highway Expertise:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy highway construction.

Proficient in road construction techniques, earthwork, grading, and utility installations.

Familiarity with TXDOT specifications (or relevant local standards).

Construction Management:

Experience with project management software such as Primavera, Viewpoint, Sage, or Timberline.

Ability to create and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of AutoCAD is a bonus.

Familiarity with estimating software like Bid2Win or similar tools.

Communication and Leadership:

Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

Ability to lead and motivate project teams.

Strong problem-solving skills to address construction challenges.

Company Size Preference:

Ideally seeking candidates from smaller/midsized construction companies.

Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment with a close-knit team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering preferred.

Will consider candidates without degrees who possess significant expertise.

10+ years of experience in heavy highway construction.

Proficiency in project management software.

Strong organizational and leadership skills.
