Philanthropy Officer, Mid-level Giving (PD, MLG) identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards donors giving (or capable of giving) between $2,500 - $24,999 annually. Manages and grows newly established giving club, Neighbor’s Giving Society. Carries a portfolio of 125 donors with focus on increasing giving level through meaningful and strategic cultivation, upgrade solicitation, and stewardship activities.
Essential Functions
- Manages an active portfolio of 125 donors giving $2,500 - $24,999 annually.
- Grows donor support by engaging with meaningful and thoughtful stewardship.
- Co-implements newly established giving society ($2,500 - $24,999) with mid-level giving colleague, focusing on stewardship and upgrade strategies.
- Creates individual goals and strategies for all donors in portfolio based on various and available donor information to include giving histories, affinity, inclination, and capacity.
- In collaboration with philanthropy colleagues, conducts monthly tours (and associated briefings/luncheons) of Father Joe’s Villages’ for pre-determined donors.
- In collaboration with events and major gifts teams, assists with donor stewardship events to include those held in private residences, restaurants, hotels, etc.
- Oversees development and production of three Impact Reports per year for donors contributing $2,500+ annually, and one Annual Report for donors contributing $5,000+ annually.
- Meets quarterly donor goals based on all phases of the donor cycle.
- Utilizes Raiser’s Edge and other available prospect research and analytical tools to identify, segment, and qualify a broader and deeper pool of prospective mid-level donors.
- Works with colleagues to design and implement targeted communications as well as engagement and stewardship strategies to include events/experiences.
- Completes all organizational training on time.
- Assumes other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in communications, business or English or equivalent.
- At least three years of experience in non-profit fundraising with individual donors, corporate partners and/or special events.
- Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and presentation.
- Superb interpersonal skills and ability to build strong, authentic personal relationships with people of all backgrounds, including those with high-wealth and influence.
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Office and donor software (Raisers Edge preferred).
- Be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of three years of driving experience.
