Manager – FP&A
Job Summary
The Manager – FP&A is responsible for consolidating the segment and corporate reporting and providing analytical insights. Manage enterprise-wide reporting/analysis and financial modeling. Lead the monthly forecasting, annual budget process and strategic planning cycle. Distribution of financial results/analytics/insights to Executive Management. Interface to Mill Rock Capital for financial reporting and ad hoc analyses. Develop standardized analytical tools and reporting with a focus on automation. Create trend analysis tools and analytical packages and share insights with business leadership. Accuracy, attention to detail and adherence to deadlines are imperative and must be augmented by robust analysis and insight. Build cross-functional relationships to drive holistic decision-making and company-wide initiatives. Proactively provide support and analytics to optimize business performance.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting and analytical support for the executive management team
- Interface to sponsor for financial reporting and analytics
- Responsible for the creation/updating of presentation decks to internal and external stakeholders
- Lead the forecasting process including monthly, annual, and strategic planning
- In conjunction with Corporate Controller, monitor the month end close process for accuracy in forecasting and improve standard reporting and analytics
- Develop and implement analytical support tools for operations and commercial to drive business performance optimization
- Perform trend analyses on business performance (sales, operations, expenses)
- Actual to budget/forecast analyses to explain variances and provide solutions for misses to expectations
- Liaison to PE Sponsor for financial reporting/analytics
- Proactive communications on observations related to macroeconomic/business trends including the ability to take the initiative to drive change
- Partner with the CFO to implement strategic Finance initiatives and develop analytical tools to assist the business in driving profitable growth
- Provide strategic and analytical support to key BU leadership
- Improve BU cash flow through management of AP/AR/Inventory
- Focus on continuous improvement initiatives with a constant eye on efficiency and productivity opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- Motivated, initiative-taker with the ability to dig into the details but also step back and be able to drive strategy
- Time management skills and attention to detail while prioritizing multiple activities and deadlines.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and collaborative team that is responsive and results-oriented
- Connect and build strong relationships with others, demonstrates emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly, collaboratively, and persuasively
- 5+ years of accounting and/or finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, required
- Experience supporting manufacturing organization required
- Data and process driven
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience in developing, setting, and managing Standard Costing at the machine cell level
- Experience with cube-based reporting systems required (e.g., HFM/Essbase)
- Strong Inventory Control and Internal Control process development, a plus
