Job description

We are looking for an FP& A professional to join a services organization in Des Moines, Iowa on a Long-term Contract basis. This position will play a key role in strengthening financial planning efforts through forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and business analysis. The ideal candidate will translate financial data into clear recommendations that support decision-making across finance and operational teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models supporting budgeting and forecasting.
  • Lead annual budget preparation and periodic forecast updates.
  • Perform variance analysis and identify key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with finance and operational leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Build scenario and sensitivity analyses to support strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare executive-level financial reporting, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Support process improvements within FP& A and budgeting.
  • Complete ad hoc financial analyses and special projects.


  • 5+ years of progressive FP& A or Corporate Finance experience.
  • Strong financial modeling and budgeting experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience supporting forecasting, planning, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and business partnering skills.
  • Experience with ERP or financial planning systems preferred.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus.
