Job description

We are Eagle Integrated Services (EIS), a technical and professional solutions consulting firm supporting several military installations across the nation.
EIS is seeking a Government Contracts Financial Analyst / Project Controller to support the financial management of Federal Government contracts and task orders. This position will work directly with the General Manager and program leadership to help monitor contract financial performance, control costs, improve profitability, and support day-to-day contract financial operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting government contract financials, budgeting, labor tracking, invoicing coordination, and financial reporting in a federal contracting environment. This role is operationally focused and intended for someone who can help leadership understand program financial performance and identify opportunities to improve margins and efficiency. This is a hybrid/remote opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Financial Support
  • Track financial performance across government contracts and task orders.
  • Monitor labor utilization, contract funding, burn rates, and profitability.
  • Assist leadership with forecasting revenue, labor costs, and contract performance trends.
  • Support monthly financial reporting and program status updates.
  • Help identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.

Budgeting & Reporting
  • Prepare and maintain project budgets, financial trackers, and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with monthly forecasting and financial planning activities.
  • Develop reports showing contract performance, labor costs, and margin trends.
  • Support invoice tracking and coordination with accounting and contracts teams.

Government Contract Administration Support
  • Assist with tracking contract funding modifications and CLIN balances.
  • Help ensure financial activities remain compliant with government contract requirements.
  • Support indirect rate tracking and labor category cost analysis.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers regarding staffing costs and financial performance.

Operational Support
  • Work closely with leadership to improve financial visibility across programs.
  • Support proposal pricing efforts by gathering labor and cost data.
  • Assist with subcontractor tracking and financial coordination.
  • Maintain organized financial documentation and reporting files.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, project controls, or government contract support.
  • Experience supporting federal government contracts preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and program teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or similar accounting/ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with FAR and basic government contracting concepts.
  • Experience supporting DoD or federal contracts.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or project financial tracking.
