Job description

One of the best-known names in cruising, Cunard is the world's leading international luxury cruise line, carrying millions of guests each year to hundreds of destinations around the globe. With parent company Carnival Corporation, Cunard is well known for its White Star Service and Trans-Atlantic Crossings.  

This position is for a National Accounts Sales Manager who is responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals by executing account strategy and establishing, nurturing, and growing the account relationships. The position is directly accountable for revenue production from an assigned portfolio of National Account consortia and additional strategic partners on all major product groups for Cunard North America.

The National Accounts Sales Manager has responsibility to meet and exceed sales goals through the utilization of tools, technology, training, and coaching. This role will typically be challenged with market conditions, competition, and company strategy. They will promote company products to accounts through both virtual and on-site sales calls, ongoing strategy meetings as well as conferences and training workshops both in the field as well as events and onboard ships. They will manage account marketing plans, co-op advertising, group planning and events, and develop communication training.  They will have the ability to turn agency issues into a business opportunity with a win-win service recovery.


Here's a summary of what Cunard is looking for in a National Accounts Sales Manager. Is this you? 

 
Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain a focused, ongoing communication program with all assigned Cunard National and select Strategic Accounts consisting of regular in-person visits, virtual meetings, frequent virtual contact and written monthly and quarterly progress reports to sustain the partnership and ensure achievement of annual revenue goals

  • Develop and maintain a focused, ongoing communication program with the Field Sales group identifying National Account initiatives and support needed to ensure successful implementation

  • Oversee the development and implementation of individualized National Account marketing plans including print and digital advertising; and maintaining current content within websites

  • Develop and deliver engaging, memorable trade training workshops and presentations

  • Conduct monthly National Accounts reviews and provide recommendations to Vice President of Sales on new initiatives and opportunities to boost revenue with accounts

  • Develop and implement comprehensive product and sales training programs for use with National Accounts

  • Collaborate with Sales Planning and Revenue Planning on marketing plans, product launches and opportunities to grow business

  • Participate in key National Account events including Strategic Account regional meetings and product and training conferences

  • Manage a professional budget using critical thinking and ROI

Essential/Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

Essential experience required:

  • Minimum 5+ years of relationship-sales experience including a track record of revenue growth 

Travel:  Travel 30-50% of the time including internationally 

Work Conditions: Work from home as well as from offsite locations as travel demands. May be requested to work a different shift. 

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time
