Job description

Sr. Business Analyst/Project Manager, Enterprise Systems

The Sr. Business Analyst/Project Manager's primary role is to prioritize work, gather requirements, perform analysis and document activities for the Enterprise Systems Plan team. Moreover, the person may be called upon to perform project management activities such as creating project charters, project schedules, etc. The person not only acts as an intermediary between the Finance & Accounting departments and Global Tech teams, this individual will apply proven communication, organization, problem-solving and leadership skills to ensure successful delivery of projects. The Project Manager/Sr. Business Analyst uses proven business analysis techniques and has a very good knowledge of project management methodologies. Familiar with both Agile and Waterfall approaches, the candidate will suggest the best possible option to achieve high quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

As a Business Analyst...

  • Review, document, organize and prioritize work requests.
  • Work with the various work requestors to gather and document requirements.
  • Support the Build and Support teams with their documentation, test cases and deployment strategy.
  • Support the developers from and during the development effort up to the deployment to production.
  • Create various documentation such as requirements, training, data mapping and post-deployment guides and ensure that proper documentation is maintained by all Enterprise Systems teams.
  • Act as a Scrum Master and support the Product Owner when using an Agile methodology.
  • Be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously;

As a Project Manager...

  • Work with the various stakeholders and project teams to establish project timelines with associated evaluation of effort, capacity, sequence of activities and tasks, and define deliverables required at the different stages of the projects.
  • Prepare various project management artifacts such project charter, project status reports and meeting notes.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings to drive and measure progress, communicate status, and manage issues.
  • Collaborate with other project teams within the organization to implement process improvements.
  • Estimate project budgets and control costs.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external partners.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent business experience.
  • Combined 3-5+ years of experience as Sr. Business Analyst and Project Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of document and process management techniques.
  • Knowledge of Finance and Accounting functions; knowledge of an ERP system is a plus.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment that spans geographies and time zones.
  • Knowledge of both project waterfall and agile processes, including Kanban; knowledge of JIRA is considered an asset.
  • Good knowledge of a project management methodology; PMP certification is preferred.
  • Strong organization and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure when the context requires it.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and coach other team members.
  • Very good knowledge of the Office 365 suite, including Visio.
  • Organized, self-motivated and self-directed
  • Laval based employees: Bilingual (French, English), oral and written
