Job description

Amazon Advertising is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the finance team supporting Ads AI Core Infrastructure (ACI) - the organization building the foundational AI and machine learning infrastructure powering the next generation of Amazon Ads. This is a unique opportunity to be at the intersection of finance and AI, supporting one of the most strategically visible teams within Amazon.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will closely work with business and finance leaders to develop financial models for both short and long term business and financial goals, evaluate new business opportunities, and drive business initiatives for projects with strategic significance and high exposure. This is a high visibility role, working across multiple teams in Amazon

Additional responsibilities include weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of financial performance and ad-hoc business analysis support. This role requires a self-starter and independent individual with strong financial modeling abilities, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.
The successful candidate will have shown experiences in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments. This is a high visibility role, and has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon, and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills

In addition, this role requires strong business sense and capability to independently drive business partnership.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will own and drive key financial operating mechanisms for a high-growth engineering organization. You will be responsible for producing executive-level business reviews, supporting annual operating plans, and partnering with engineering leaders on cost optimization for large-scale inference infrastructure. This role offers high visibility to VP-level leadership and cross-functional exposure across finance, engineering, and product teams.

Support OP1/OP2 planning cycles including narrative development and financial modeling
Build and maintain inference cost forecasting models for compute infrastructure, partnering with engineering to identify optimization opportunities
Manage financial controllership including variance analysis and month-end close activities

Partner with cross-functional teams on ad-hoc strategic analyses, including AI adoption reviews, productivity assessments, and investment business cases
