Job Type: Part - Time (Under 30 hours/week as needed)

Hourly Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00 / hour depending on experience!

Schedule & Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM (overnight shifts)

Weekend availability required, must be flexible and able to work weeknights and weekends based on occupancy and demands of business

The Overnight Security Guard patrols the hotel and grounds. Responds to security and emergencies in safe and efficient compliance with policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state, and local regulations. Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items, and safety hazards to management.

Responsibilities:

• Know and comply with all safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Patrol all areas of the hotel, including grounds and parking lots. Note, search, handle and report any unusual circumstances, safety violations, car or property theft, accidents, and injuries.
• Maintain constant emergency readiness. Respond immediately to all emergency alarms and calls for help. Determine course of action, notify appropriate management and authorities and perform basic first aid as needed.
• Enforce the “No Solicitation Policy” of the hotel, if necessary
• Escort suspicious or undesirable persons off property, if necessary. Escort individuals to and from vehicles as needed.
• Previous two years of experience required in loss prevention/security with applicable certifications
• Perform other duties and assist in other departments as required and instructed by General Manager
• Conduct investigations of security incidents. Complete security forms documenting guest and employee property and/or personal injury incidents.
• 14 hours per week (Friday & Saturday overnight availability)

Applicants Must Be:

• At least 21 years old
• A high school graduate or equivalent
• Pass a required background check

License/Certification:

• 20-Hour Security Training Certificate (Preferred)

Experience & Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)
• Work experience One year (Preferred)
• Former security experience
