Job Title: Senior Innovation Design Engineer

Salary Range: $66,000 - $86,000 Annually

Role Overview:As a Senior Innovation Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in advancing our product offerings through both technical acumen and strategic innovation. Working closely with the APQP Engineering/Innovation Manager and cross-functional teams, your efforts will focus on conceiving and executing project deliverables that meet or exceed our rigorous, innovative standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the delivery of project and program milestones, balancing technical challenges with cost efficiency to achieve business and customer objectives.
• Conduct mechanical engineering analysis to enhance product functionality, reduce costs, boost performance, and streamline manufacturability.
• Spearhead innovative design initiatives, utilizing a mix of new and existing materials and technologies to create products ready for future markets.
• Collaborate across departments to brainstorm and refine product concepts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Engage in detailed research to evaluate market, technical, economic, and manufacturing viability of new ideas.
• Design and refine electrical and mechanical systems, integrating your deep understanding of engineering principles and design software.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation, including design layouts, bills of materials, and technical drawings.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Creo and Windchill, with a strong capability in model creation and data management.
• Solid foundation in various engineering analyses, including inertial calculations, tolerance analysis, spring stress analysis, and kinematic analysis.
• Understanding of GD&T, Six Sigma Design Tools, and mechanical principles crucial to product design.
• Experience in both DFMEA and PFMEA processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, contributing to process reviews and product improvement discussions.
