Maintenance Manager

The function of the Maintenance Manager is to monitor, maintain, and repair Benoit equipment as needed to ensure uninterrupted production flow. The Maintenance Manager receives authority from and reports to the Manager of Operations and exercises authority over Maintenance Personnel.

Specific duties of the Maintenance Manager include but are not limited to:

• Establish, document, and maintain an ongoing maintenance program including specific routine maintenance procedures to be performed at specified intervals.
• Monitor and direct the activities of maintenance personnel under his authority.
• Repair or supervise the repair of all company equipment.
• Authorized, to hire and terminate employees under his authority, and to evaluate personnel under his authority for ongoing training and advancement.
• Contract outside repair service when repair is beyond Benoit’s capabilities, or when it would simply be more cost-effective to do so.
• Supervise and assist in the work of outside repair services as necessary.
• Maintain an inventory of routine maintenance or repair items as necessary.
• Installation of new equipment.
• Alert department manager of any repair delays which may affect production scheduling.
• Assist department managers in the training of employees on the importance and techniques of routine equipment maintenance.
• Enforce Benoit Safety, Environmental. And Company policies in their department.
• Investigate and complete accident reports on all accidents in their department.

Ensure that employees under his authority are qualified to perform the task assigned by training each to the following minimum requirements:

a. Job Position Description

b. Pertinent Benoit Standard Operating Procedures

c. Benoit’s Quality Policy

Oversee the performance of job responsibilities of the personnel under his authority to ensure that Benoit policies and SOPs are adhered to.
