Preschool Teacher (Ages 2-3)

Requirements 

• Assisting children in learning the process of appropriate eating, dressing and toilet habits
• Engaging students with intellectually stimulating activities
• Reporting any accidents or unusual behavioral to supervising staff and parents
• Constantly supervising children and ensuring safety protocols are met
• Maintaining regular communication with parents by providing or receiving feedback
• Attending staff meetings to discuss the progress of children
• Successfully pass all required background checks including fingerprints and Child and Adult Neglect
• Successfully complete required DHR training within first 30 days of hire and annually

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in a Child Care or Daycare setting working with children ages 2-5
• Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Ability to create an environment focused on supporting safety and the well-being of children
• Ability to effectively communicate with both parents and their children
• Ability to lead, motivate and supervise young children
• Ability to create daily programs that support intellectual, emotional, and physical development
• Knowledge of licensing regulations and all applicable legislation
