Job Description
Seeking a Language Services Manager for our Language Department

Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Language Services Manager for the Language Department provides leadership, training, and supervision of translators as well as the Interpreter coordinator. This position is Part-Time at an estimated 25 hours per week. 

Location: This position is in-person in our Wilmington, DE office. 
Hours: During office hours between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Some after-hour communication is required, and specific hours are to be determined. 
Employment Type: This is a Part-time position between 20 to 25 hours a week, M-F

Position Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership, training, and supervision of qualified language translators to facilitate and provide language access to parents, families, schools, entities, and medical facilities. 
  • Supervises the coordination of translators, and other staff within the Language Department, using web-based productivity, scheduling, and collaboration tools. 
  • Review documents for accuracy and readability while maintaining the context and intent of communication for clients. 
  • Coordinate academic, technical, and legal compliance of work for clients. 
  • Participates in continuous improvement processes to identify language access improvements and efficiencies in the department. 
  • Participate in the development of policies and strategies and carry out their implementation. 
  • Provide technical assistance and customer service to internal and external stakeholders and support for data reporting and analysis.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Sound judgment, initiative, professionalism, flexibility, and aptitude for administrative detail.
  • Great time management and prioritization skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in education, foreign language, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience (administrative/office experience required). 
  • Must possess exceptional communication skills and be able to effectively multi-task.
  • Evidence of fluency in English and another language is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and Adobe Acrobat
