Neapco is seeking a results-driven individual to join our team as Payroll Analyst. This position will be responsible for assisting the Payroll Manager with the timely and accurate processing of payroll and ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements for all US locations. This position will report to the Payroll Manager and is based at our World Headquarters and Technical Center in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Job Description: Payroll Analyst
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly and bi-weekly non-exempt and exempt payrolls.
- Generate general ledger reports to support payroll journal entries and provide to accounting personnel in each location.
- Process accurately employee pay for items including special payments and retro payments.
- Communicate with employees and other departments to answer questions and resolve problems.
- Calculate earnings for ST disability and LT disability.
- Upload weekly, Flex Spending, HSA, and 401k contribution files to 3rd party provider and prepare requests for funding
- Communicate cash requirements for payroll to Treasury on a weekly basis
- Process garnishment paperwork and upload it into ADP Smart Compliance for processing.
- Review new hire inputs into ADP Workforce to ensure information is correct.
- Provide support as needed to employees who are using the ADP self-managed portal.
- Provide ad hoc payroll reports, as needed.
- Ensure that all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Manage the payroll inbox and process incoming payroll mail.
- Ability to work as a team member, communicating with others within the department as well as outside the department and Company.
Required Skills:
- 2-3 years of qualified related experience
- Experience with ADP/WFN software desired.
- Attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to prioritize and plan work activities.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
- Possess strong technological abilities, including Microsoft Excel and database applications.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
