Maintenance Manager with Plastics Experience

SUMMARY: Must have Plastics experience. Manage Maintenance personnel and activities to ensure machines and other equipment are repaired, installed and maintained efficiently in order to meet production needs, along with established company and department goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:

1. Operate Department within budget.

2. Reduce operating cost through efficient operation of manufacturing and building equipment.

3. Create and maintain a safe work environment.

4. Supervise employees and activities in the Maintenance Department.

5. Develop and monitor preventative maintenance programs.

6. Set priorities for maintenance repairs.

7. Manage expenses for Maintenance shop and make recommendations for capital needs.

8. Evaluate down-time and efficiency reports.

9. Drive process improvements.

10. Work with vendors on projects.

11. Enforce all company policies.

12. Oversee new hire training and continuous training to improve efficiencies.

1. Accepts responsibility to comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and any other regulatory requirements. And has the authority to report concerns that could impact these requirements or suggest areas for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. College Degree or Technical Certificate preferred.
2. Must have good knowledge of all manufacturing and building equipment including but not limited to Injection Molding machinery, auxiliary equipment, lining and assembly machines, and compression machines.
3. Must have experience in maintaining all support equipment such as but not limited to, HVAC systems, tower and chiller systems, vacuum loading systems
4. Must be able to read all hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical blueprints.
5. Must know PLC’s and electro mechanical relay control system.
6. Proven ability to lead, motivate and direct employees.
7. Strong organizational and communication skills with proven ability to multi-task.
8. Must have excellent problem solving ability and good judgment.
9. Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
10. Previous experience in Plastic Injection Molding.
11. 3-5 years experience in similar role.
12. Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 50 pounds periodically).
13. Experience / general knowledge of computer and software skills, must be able to use programs to generate reports, spreadsheets, etc....

14. Able to communicate effectively both written and verbal.

15. Able to work safely in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
