Provides leadership, mentorship, and oversight of Construction Project Controls teams for all construction projects within the Company. Responsible for implementation and training of best practices for project planning and scheduling, cost estimating and monitoring, progress measurement, risk management and reporting. Hires and manages project controls personnel. Responsible for ensuring open communication and information from Project Teams to Corporate Management.



Job Description


TheProject Controls Managermanages and leads all Project Controls for the company. This includes cost, schedule, planning and reporting. This position requires being able to communicate at an executive level and with senior leaders in the organization. Good communication skills along with being able to improve the organization through system upgrades, standardization, employee development, and functional organization is a must. This position will report to the Division CFO.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement project control strategies and policies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives by reporting cost/schedule forecasting.
  • Manage and lead project controls project execution, ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards, that includes staffing, reporting, change management.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting. Monitor and control project costs to optimize resource allocation. Identify and mitigate project risks by implementing effective risk management strategies and monitoring risk factors.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure effective communication and alignment.
  • Ensure that projects adhere to all relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. Standardization of processes and procedures across all projects that is scalable to the size of the project
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices and optimizing project management processes. Development and Implementation of new tools that support the growth and efficiency of project controls.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project control teams, fostering a high-performance work environment. Employee Development and training across the enterprise.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelors or masters degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in industrial project management and project controls, with a proven track record of successful project execution.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project cost, earned value, CPM scheduling and detail planning, contract management concepts
  • Commitment to Accuracy and Reliability


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar credentials.
  • Primavera P6, @Risk, CMIS, SAP, Earned Value Systems, Oracle Contract Manager, CAD/Construct Sim, Oracle Procurement, Hard Dollar
  • Experience in industrial sectors such as manufacturing, construction, energy, or infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools.
